The ”Simple Text Divider” has a simple ”text on color” layout that allows you to convey a message that may be hard or unnecessary to illustrate with image or video. This could, for example, be used as a section divider or to put in a question that the following part of the video is answering.
Also, the ”Simple Text Divider” can have a background asset in which case the solid color background will be slightly see-through and desaturate the background, so the focus is still in the color and the text but you could have a video playing in the background.
This is a simple text divider with a background asset and text scaling turned on.
Behavior and usage
The main text is here set in large type and defaults to being text on primary color from the theme settings. The text area can handle line breaks so you could easily have two ”paragraphs” of text to create some spacing for the message.
There is an option for the Simple Text Divider called ”Scale up text”. By enabling this the inputted text will attempt to be as big as it can be within the margins of the slide. So try that out with a couple of short words and hit enter between them to line break. The editor UI does not support showing how big the text will be, so try and render a slide to see this effect in action.
