The "Intro – Edge Plate" slide type is by name and heart an intro, but with its very distinct way of displaying text, it's equally useful for regular text display.
The slide concept is one where you have plates behind the two text fields, either individually or both – or a line between the texts and no plate. The plates can then also be connected to the canvas's edge or fit the text's width.

Basic usage
The Intro – Edge Plate slide type has two text fields, Main Text and Caption. The Main Text has Large (100 characters), X-large (70characters), and Huge (50 characters) text size. Large is the default size. Caption has Small (100 characters) text size. The text from one default text field will be carried over to another default text field when changing slide type.
Slide Settings
You can control the in- and out-animation for all objects collectively – this is useful if you want to keep your object over multiple slides and change the background. The slide does not have individual animation controls for the text fields.
Content X-position - left, center, right.
Content Y-position - top, center, bottom.
Slide Style: This allows you to set if you want a color plate behind the Main text, the Caption text, or both. Or if you want a line between them and no plates.
Animation Direction: With this, you control the direction that the slide animates from. If you choose "From right," the plate/line will animate from the right edge of the canvas and also stay connected to that edge if you decide to. The animation direction also dictates the texts' alignment: The text blocks are centered on the slide, but the text alignment changes with the animation direction. So if you animate "From right," the text will be left-aligned and vice versa.
Width Switch: This control lets you set the plate/line behavior. Either it stays connected to the edge it animates from or adjusts to the widest of the text fields' width.
Fine Print: You also have the option to add a "Fine Print" (300 characters) at the bottom of the slide. The text size is Tiny but can be scaled between 10-100%. The placement of the Fine Print will adapt to the placement of the logo (if the logo is at the bottom of the slide, the Fine Print will move to the top of the slide). Text Alignment - Left, Center, Right.
Color
The color settings let you adjust the color of the Main Text, Caption Text, Line/Plate and Fine Print. You can also adjust the Line/Plate and Fine print Opacity.
