The "Big Number" slide can be used as both a shorter and more impactful version of the "Listicle Number" slide (without the headline) and as something quite flexible due to its construction.
The most basic use for the "Big Number" slide is to input the number you want and choose whether the shape behind it should be a circle or a square. But this slide could also be used to display a product in full screen or to accommodate your custom graphics with an alpha channel video, and you can also create combinations of these things.
Following functionality is deprecated as of now: There are a few options on this slide that are powerful in what they do because of the basic concept of how they work. For example, you can choose not to input a number and use a custom shape (inline asset). This would mean that the custom shape will scale to the edges (shortest edge) of the canvas, but it will animate in. This animation can be turned off to ensure that the file you're using is not being manipulated at all. So if you, for instance, have custom numbers that are animations with transparency (alpha channels) they will play as intended over whatever background you choose to have.
This is the default version of the Big Number slide with a still image background asset and a circle shape behind the number.
Behavior and usage
The number field is self-explanatory. It holds a maximum of two characters, so if you want to make a list of 100 or more, this is not the tool for you. :). The default color is "text on primary".
The shape type chooses if you want the background behind the circle to be square or circular. The default color is primary.
Credit text is derived from the credit field in the asset browser. Since all assets in Story Engine are their instance, you could use the credit field for additional information as well, such as a source reference or other. This field is not directly editable from the storyboard view. Instead, you access it through the asset browser’s detail view. You can turn off the credit text altogether from the storyboard side pane if you wish.
