The "Spintext" slide type is a fast-moving text-only slide with distinct text animation. As the name implies – it spins! You can use this to great effect for individual callouts in a video – or as sequences that you want to emphasize. The animation is a real eye-catcher.

Behavior and usage
With these slide types that have many different text size options, there is still one text field that is the default one: In this case, it's the Large size. The slides function this way because we want you to be able to change slide type and carry over the text from one default text layer to another. So if you change from a regular Simple Slide (for example) to this – the Message text will be brought over. Note that this only holds for the default text field; texts used in other sizes can then be overwritten when changing from a slide-type that has them to one that does not.
This also means that if there is text in the default text field – it will override other activated text fields. So you can have activated the Huge text field and written text in that, but as soon as you input text in the default field, it will revert to Large. This is something you need to be aware of – and you always see what is active in the preview on the storyboard.
The text option for the Message is as follows, with the maximum length in characters.
- Huge: 50 characters
- Xlarge: 70 characters
- Large: 100 characters
- Medium: 180 characters
- Small: 360 characters
You can turn on and off the in- and out-animation if you want to run more sequential slides with the same text.
Under "Scale Settings," you can control how the animation looks. The animation has a scale for the in-animation and one for the out-animation that ranges from 0-200%. This means that if you set the in-animation to 0, it will start the spin from a size that is 0% of the target. It is, in fact, not visible. If you start it from 200, it will shrink down while spinning, from double its target size. And the same logic applies to the out-animation. This way, you can control the look and feel of the animation.
If you leave both values at their default 100 – no scaling will occur during the spin, a clean and efficient look.
You can change the color of the text under "Color" in the right pane.
