The "Bouncetext" slide type is a useful slide for creating an uptempo text delivery with its energetic and dynamic animation pattern. It can be used as a standalone story slide but perhaps, even more, comes into its own when used in a sequence of "Bouncetexts."
The slide has a text (set in Large but with a Scale option that makes it bigger and more impactful if needed – the Scale has no preview in the editor though) and a color plate – that both animates from the top, bottom, left or right. The animation direction can be set separately for text and plate, giving you the possibility to control the look of the slide more.
You also have the option of not showing the color plate at all and control its animation – if it should be static or animate in or out or both. So you have granular control of its behavior.
In the preview in the editor the color plate has a cutout area to show you the background and its settings, this is purely a workflow enhancement, and the cutout is of course not visible in the rendered movie.
Behavior and usage
The Message field holds 85 characters. It uses the Large size per default and defaults to the Text on primary color from the theme settings.
The color plate defaults to the Primary color from the theme settings.
You can turn the plate on and off, and you can control the animation direction for both the text and the plate to From Bottom, From Top, From Right and From Left.
All colors can be changed in color settings.
There is no styling applied to the background asset as default.
Credit text is derived from the credit field in the asset browser. Since all assets in Story Engine are their instance, you could use the credit field for additional information as well, such as a source reference or other. This field is not directly editable from the storyboard view. Instead, you access it through the asset browser’s detail view. You can turn off the credit text altogether from the storyboard side pane if you wish.
