The Timeline slide allows you to build animated timelines – or more to the point: some different information objects that you want to present in a sequence. It does not have to be a timeline; it could as well be a ranking list or a simple top list.
The "Timeline" has a lot of options that let you define if a slide is the first in the sequence, a middle one, or the last.
Main Example
The Timeline slide can be used in a multitude of ways. Here it is with all text fields filled in, use of png images with transparency as inline assets, and short duration for all three slides. There is a start, a middle, and an end slide in there.
Basic usage
The Timeline slide has four text fields, Indicator, Label, Headline, and Caption – The Indicator has Small (20 characters), Label has Small (40 characters), Headline has Large (40 characters), and Caption has Small (40 characters) text size. If you do not enter any characters in to the Indicator field, it will be a dot on the timeline. The text from one default text field will be carried over to another default text field when changing slide type.
Fine Print: You also have the option to add a "Fine Print" (300 characters) at the bottom of the slide. The text size is Tiny but can be scaled between 10-100%. The placement of the Fine Print will adapt to the placement of the logo (if the logo is at the bottom of the slide, the Fine Print will move to the top of the slide). Text Alignment - Left, Center, Right.
Slide Settings
Slide Position in Sequence:
The slide has Standalone, Start, Middle, and End behavior, making it really easy to use for sequences.
Standalone: Animates in and out Number and Main Message text field.
Start: Number and Main Message text field animates in but not out.
Middle: No animation for Number and Main Message text field.
End: Number and Main Message text field animates out but not in.
In the Start, Middle, and End behaviors, the slide keeps the Number text static over multiple slides but only uses animation in for the Start slide and out for the End slide. This allows for easy chaining of slides.
Inline Asset: If you want to use an inline image (this is optional), you'll upload that (or choose that) through the asset browser in the side panel.
Color Settings
The color settings let you adjust the color of the Indicator, Label, Headline, Caption, Indicator Plate, Label Plate, Indicator Line, and Fine Print. You can also adjust the Opacity of the Fine Print.
