The Product slide is great to use when you want to display an image of a product together with a few information items (price, availability, description). This slide type is quite flexible and can be used in many different ways and for many types of information. It will work at its absolute best if you use inline assets of good quality and preferably masked product images.
This slide has many options that allow you to control the look and behavior to suit your needs. And with that in mind, it's a perfect candidate for using templates that you build and re-use.
Main Example
Basic usage
The "Product slide" slide type has three text fields, Large Text, Small Text 1 and Small Text 2. The Large Text has Large (85 characters) text size. Small Text 1 and Small text 2 have Small (85 characters) text sizes. Large is the default size. The text from one default text field will be carried over to another default text field when changing slide type.
Fine Print: You also have the option to add a "Fine Print" (300 characters) at the bottom of the slide. The text size is Tiny but can be scaled between 10-100%. The placement of the Fine Print will adapt to the placement of the logo (if the logo is at the bottom of the slide, the Fine Print will move to the top of the slide). Text Alignment - Left, Center, Right.
General Settings
Text Order: You also can change the order of the text fields, which gives a lot of added flexibility and widens the use of the slide. Choose from Large / Small 1 / Small 2, Large / Small 1 / Small 2, and Large / Small 1 / Small 2.
Inline Asset: This is where you add your inline asset. It will accept both images and video.
Rating: Turn this on to open up the controls for the rating function. You then choose what the grade should be, from 0-5 in 0,1 increments. And you also choose which of the text fields should be replaced by the rating block.
Slide Settings
Text Alignment: Align the text fields (together) to the left, center, or right. The text justification will follow the alignment.
Content X-position - left, center, right.
Content Y-position - top, center, bottom.
Large Text/Small Text 1/Small Text 2 Plate (On/Off): Controls the backplate's visibility and the padding for that text field.
Plate Spacing (On/Off): Control if there should be a preset vertical spacing between the text fields or if they should be edge-to-edge.
Unified Width: When using plates, you can check this option to have both plates be of the same width.
Asset Backplate (On/Off): Controls the visibility of the plate behind the asset. Its color and opacity are controlled under Color further down in the panel.
Asset Master Scale (0-120): Control the inline asset max scale. Sometimes you want to balance out the auto-resize between different product images, and this allows you that.
Text Animation Settings
You can control the general animation in and out, so can have the text static over multiple slides and switch the product image.
Text Animation Type: Fade, Short Slide, and Long Slide.
Text Slide In Direction: From left, From right, From Top, From Bottom.
Text Slide Out Direction: To left, To right, To top, To bottom.
Stagger Text Animation: You also have a checkbox that controls if the text fields animate in a staggered fashion or all at the same time.
Asset Animation Settings
Here you control the animation behavior for the inline asset. You can, for example, keep the product image and animate new text fields in and out over multiple slides. These settings can be combined freely to give you a unique animation for your slide.
Animate X-position
Turn this on if you want the asset to animate in and/or out from the slide on the x-axis.
Direction In: From left, From right.
Direction Out: To left, To right.
Slide Behavior: Control the animation by choosing a long or short slide.
Animation Type: Smooth - animates the asset to its final placement or state and does not do an overshoot (a bounce). Bounce - the asset does a quick overshoot and then bounces back to its final state or position.
Animate Y-position
Turn this on if you want the asset to animate in and/or out from the slide on the y-axis.
Direction In: From top, From bottom.
Direction Out: To top, To bottom.
Slide Behavior: Control the animation by choosing a long or short slide.
Animation Type: Smooth - animates the asset to its final placement or state and does not do an overshoot (a bounce). Bounce - the asset does a quick overshoot and then bounces back to its final state or position.
Animate Opacity:
Turn this on if you want to animate the opacity of the asset from 0 to 100 and from 100 to 0.
Animate Scale:
Turn this on if you want the asset to animate its scale from 0 to 100 and vice versa. This creates a growing effect. The effect always emanates from the absolute center of the asset.
Animation Type:
Choose "Smooth" if you want this particular animation to move to its final placement or state and not do an overshoot (a bounce).
Choose "Bounce" if you want this particular animation to do a quick overshoot and then bounce back to its final state or position.
Scale and Rotate:
Choose an option here if you want the asset to do a small scale and rotate after it has animated in. This can create an attractive "floating" effect. Per default this is Disabled, but you can choose Clockwise or Counter-Clockwise.
Color Settings
The color settings let you adjust the color of the Large Text, Large Text Plate, Small Text 1, Small Text 2, Small Text 1 Plate, Small Text 2 Plate, Rating Filled Stars, Rating Non-Filled Stars, Rating Value Text, Asset Plate, and Fine Print. You can also adjust the Opacity of Large Text Plate, Small Text 1 Plate, Small Text 2 Plate, Asset Plate, and Fine Print.
