There is no right or wrong when it comes to what slide type to use, but to make it easier to navigate among all our slides they have been grouped into 8 categories.
- Intro slides - designed to introduce the topic covered in the video.
- Story slides - designed to drive your story forward. These slides can hold more text than then the other slides available.
- List slide - designed to present lists in an effective way.
- Call out slides - designed to emphasize a specific word(s).
- Special Video and Image slides - designed with special functions for playing existing videos and displaying images.
- Commercial slides - designed to present a product or an event.
- Special slides - designed to offer a bit of extra functionality such as creating timelines and several layers.
- Outro slides - designed for ending a video and delivering a final statement for the viewer.
Tips!
Before you start looking for the perfect slide, we always recommend that you start with writing your Script. When you have your script ready, identify what type of "text class" each section has, e.g. is it a header, paragraph, list, call out etc, and based on this start your search for the “right slide(s)”.
Our recommendation is to have 2-5 different slide types in a video pending how long it is. If you use too many different slide types it can become hard for your viewers to focus on the main messages.
