Each slide has a default duration set to it. Click on your slide to open up the side panel and change the slide duration
- Click on the slide, to open the slide settings menu (to the right)
- Adjust the slider to the duration that fits your slide.
When changing a slide's duration this will be displayed in the slide duration indicator next to the slide on the storyboard.
On the majority of the Slide Types, the slider lets you change the duration in 0,5-second increments. In the subtitle slide, overlay slide, and player slide you have the opportunity to set the slide duration in milliseconds.
The animations on the slide will adjust to both the slide duration and to internal rules for build speed, meaning that they will adjust their tempo in a way that makes sense for both short and long durations.
Tips:
Time yourself when you read the text out loud to find a good duration for the slide. The most common mistake is that the slide duration is too short that your viewers don't have time to read the text.
