To be able to add subtitles in the Subtitle Slide, you only need your manuscript. If you'd like to know more about subtitles in the SRT slide, you can just read here. Or, if you want our AI to do the hard job for you, you can read more about the Transcribe & Edit function here.
Subtitle slide
The Subtitle Slide has two text fields for subtitles, Subtitle Line 1 and Subtitle Line 2. Both lines can hold a maximum of 50 characters.
This means you will need a series of subtitle slides to be able to subtitle a video clip. Depending on how much and how fast the person is talking, you will have different amounts of slides for the same time of video clip.
Best practice:
- Transcribe your video before entering Storykit
- Write down timestamps
- Open Storykit and create a new storyboard, add as many subtitle slides as you need (check with your time stamps)
- Adjust the duration for each slide
- Upload your video
- Copy/Paste the transcribed text

For a nice look, don’t break for a new slide in the middle of a sentence. Use whole sentences, if possible, instead.
