The Swipe Plate slide is a slide type that uses "alternating" plate colors and text colors to create an excellent sequence effect that moves from one color setup to another.
The slide has a lot of options for use and is great for both standalone and sequences.
Main Example
Basic usage
The Swipe Plate slide has two texts, Main Text, and Caption – Main Text can have Large (135 characters), Medium (150 characters), and Small (180 characters) text size. The default size is the Large size. Caption can have Small (180 characters), Medium (180 characters), and Large (135 characters) text sizes. The default size for the caption is the Small size. The text from one default text field will be carried over to another default text field when changing slide type.
Fine Print: You also have the option to add a "Fine Print" (300 characters) at the bottom of the slide. The text size is Tiny but can be scaled between 10-100%. The placement of the Fine Print will adapt to the placement of the logo (if the logo is at the bottom of the slide, the Fine Print will move to the top of the slide). Text Alignment - Left, Center, Right.
Slide Position in Sequence
The Standalone/Start/Middle/End behavior controls the behavior of the plates like this:
- Standalone mode means that there will be only one plate – the Main plate. This will animate in and then animate out to fully reveal the asset.
- Start means there will be a notion of the Next Plate, so it animates from empty to Main Plate to Next Plate.
- Middle also means that there is a Next Plate, but the in-animation moves from the previous slide.
- End means that it will animate out to empty.
Slide Order
Odd/Even: The potent possibilities come from also using the Slide Order control because it will alternate the plate and text colors. You will have a color-correct animation if you set odd and even on every other slide.
Plates Opacity: You can control the opacity for both plates with the opacity slider.
Slide Settings
Text order: You can control the vertical order of the texts with the radio buttons. Choose between Main text on Top or Caption on top. When choosing Main text on top, the Main Text will be placed on top of the caption and will be centered.
Text Alignment: You can also align and position the text left/center/right (a combo control that affects both position and alignment) with the Content X-Position.
Content Y-Position: This lets you control the vertical position of the texts. You can also input a fixed Y-position if you want to precisely place the text, which is useful when repeating slides. You do this by choosing "fixed" in "content Y-position" and then adding a value in "fixed Y-position".
Fixed Y-position: Insert att fixed value (0 = at the top).
Color Settings
The color settings let you adjust the color of Color 1 and Color 2. Color 1 controls the color of the Main Plate, and Color 2 controls the color of the Next Plate and both texts. This works in combination with the Odd/Even control, even if you use custom colors here, you can duplicate that slide and use those colors with Odd and Even and the Slide Behaviors.
Advanced Color settings
This lets you override the Odd/Even functionality, and then you can control Main Text, Caption Text, Main Plate, Next Plate, and Fine Print.
You can also adjust the opacity of the Main Plate, Next Plate (it defaults to have 100% opacity plates), and Fine Print.
