How to max out the volume on "Play Music Only"
In the Music menu, there is an option to set the base level of the background music. When set to "Storykit default" the background music plays at -12db. But if you want to max out the volume you can set the level to "Original source" (0db) - making sure it does not get attenuated in any way.
This is how to do it:
- Choose the audio file you would like to adjust
- Click on settings
- Change to original source
How to use the "Mix Music And Main Asset Audio" sliders
When you have chosen "Mix Music And Main Asset Audio", you can fine-tune how these two audio streams mix.
- If you want the music to play in the same volume as in “Play music only”, you can increase it to 0db (this value is set in relation to the default level of music, -12db).
- You can boost the Main Asset Audio up to 12db, or if you want to lower the level a little you can lower it down to a maximum of -3db.
Examples
- The volume of your Main Asset (the video you upload) is too low. Use the "Main Asset Audio Level" and boost it.
- You want to keep the music volume but also mix in sound from your Main Asset (the video you upload). If you boost the "Music Level" to 0db that means that the music will stay on the default level and you can still add your Main Asset sound.
- You want to lower the Music level throughout the video. If you choose "Mix Music And Main Asset Audio" on all slides – and have no Main Asset with sound – you can use the Music Level slider to lower the music on all slides and subsequently throughout the movie.
