FAQs
What is a script?
A video script is the written content you want to be displayed in your video. You'll find lots of handy tips and best practices in the Help & Inspiration section.
What is a content type?
Storykit analyses your text and picks a recommended slide type for you. For example, if your text includes a quote, Storykit chooses a slide type designed for this content type that makes quotes pop out. This improves the readability and flow of your video. You can easily change the content type in the Block tab.
What's the difference between the Asset and Document tabs?
Changing settings in the Document tab will affect the look of your entire video. For example, switching a filter will change the filter effects across all of the slides. In the Asset tab, you can change the effects on any individual slide.
How can I use the same background image/video clip over multiple slides?
- On the script, select a row of text.
- Hover over the asset block to the left.
- Click the arrows that appear to the left of the asset block. These allow you to join the asset with the slide above or below. To use an asset on fewer slides, select the middle icon.
How can I make fine adjustments to the look of my video?
Storykit is designed to do the hard work for you. But the Storyboard Editor is loaded with powerful tools for customising your videos once you get the hang of the basics.
Learn more about navigating the Storyboard Editor in the Getting Started section.
